How does it do on hills?

The StreetStrider actually does very well on hills. Due to the fact that you have 8 gears to choose from, if a hill seems to difficult, simply down shift into an easier gear. Depending on how steep the hill is will depend on which gear you will need to choose. I have personally taken the StreetStrider up and down hills many times with no problems at all.

How well does it steer in a parking lot or close environments. It looks like steering by leaning while manuvering around cars will be difficult. Also, if you cannot get up a hill, how difficult is it to push?

Hello Virgil,
Thank you for your interest in HealthStyles and the Street Strider. I have some good experience with maneuvering the Street Strider because I have it at my store and do a number of parking lot demonstrations. Once you get used to steering it, you’ll find that it is very responsive. It does take a little practice. As far as climbing hills, I wouldn’t see it as a big problem due to the low gearing. However, if you had to push it, you would find that easy. It is a light weight machine.
I hope this helps.

How do we carry an elliptigo in a car?
April 25th, 2011 at 10:49 am
The handlebars on the elliptigo come off the bike. Once the handlebars are taken off, the elliptigo will fit into most SUVs or trucks. The base does not fold so a mid-size car would probably not fit the elliptigo very well. Hope this helps.
